The BNP Paribas building, which is now occupied by Google, is a 430,000 sq ft office development site located just outside the entrance of St Pancras International station in Kings Cross, London. The building was designed to hold offices and retail, leisure and residential elements. After acquiring half the building in 2013, Google went on to own the whole building by 2014. The building is now home to Google’s UK office with almost 3,000 staff and a number of offices and meeting rooms for Google’s engineers.
Upgrading BNP Paribas’s Security System
All Security Solutions Ltd were appointed to carry out the installation and commissioning of multiple security discipline’s at BNP Paribas, Kings Cross London.
Using Inputs and Outputs on the security systems, when a particular door is opened, the CCTV Camera which is closest will pop up on the screen to create an alarm.
Using this method, we also created pop ups if a user is trying to gain entry through an access controlled door which they have access denied. This can alert the security team who can act accordingly. These comprehensive security disciplines, including burglar alarms, CCTV and access control, creates a securer environment for this very high security building.
